Something To Ponder With An Eternal Outcome .

A Story by Don Shaw

And don’t worry about what you’ll say or how you’ll say it. The right words will be there; the Spirit of your Father will supply the words. Matt ch 10 vs 20

"
I want to start off by telling you i have put many hours of  study , prayer, and meditation into this. So lets gets started. The question of- Did Christ  Fulfill the law when He came, walked, died on the cross  and rose again? In doing so did He free us from living under the law? Most will agree Christ came to die for our sins. Lets look at what the definition of sin is. Webster :  transgression of the law of God .b :  a vitiated state of human nature in which the self is estranged from God. Do you believe sin is present in the world today? In our lives? If you agree sin is present  today then you are confirming the law is still present today. For if sin is the transgression of the law, and sin is still present today , then by logic the law must also exist. So there fore did Christ in fact come to wipe away sin ? or the penalty  of sin? If a man goes to court for breaking the law and is acquitted from said law ,does the law cease to exist? He walks away a free man, but the law is still in place. He was freed from the penalty of said broken law.  We see in Matt ch 5 vs 17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Romans ch 3 vs. 29 Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too, 30 since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith. 31 Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law. So some will say we are covered by Grace. Are we? Is it not the combination of Grace and Repentance that actually saves. Lets look at what Christ instructed to his followers when He instructed them to pray. Matt ch 6 “Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.a]">[a]
10 Your kingdom come,
your will be done,b]">[b]
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread,c]">[c]
12 and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
    but deliver us from evil.d]">[d]

14 For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, 15 but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. He is saying repent from sin to be forgiven. So if Christ says there is sin we need to ask forgiveness from. We agree sin is present in the present day then the law must still be in effect today. For Christ would not instruct us to ask us to repent from sin and a sin is a transgression of the LAW OF GOD. He came so that we could not only have life but have it abundantly. If we can live life  following the law, without the pressure of the eternal penalty, a salvation that  comes through FAITH, GRACE,REPENTANCE  , we will have life more abundantly.
