About MeGrowing up amidst the western prairies of Northern Alberta Wyatt McIntyre would often lose himself in books, in stories that told of the vast range of the human experiences. Whether it was the tragic stories of John Steinbeck and William Faulkner or the inspiring tales wove by Harper Lee and Mitch Ablom he would escape into worlds of suffering and pain, of hope and dreams, learning of a world that surpassed his own experiences or that related somehow to it.
Through writing he has always believed that you could offer the best therapy, finding the ability to shape events to re-write the stories of your life with the ending that you dream of. With time he would come to understand sometimes hopeful, other times shrouded in sorrow, it would be in living and defining those moments that the best stories would flow from. A life marred with its own personal tragedies and hardships Wyatt would use writing to help him past those more difficult days. It would there that he would find his release. In telling stories in re-crafting and remolding the stories of his own life he would create a powerful experience for his readers, drawing them into that world. It would be there that he would find himself falling in love with the written word. A wide array of varying experiences throughout the course of his life have helped to formed Wyatts thoughts, views and outlooks on life. With more than a decade working as a political consultant he has been employed by a wide variety of leaders and candidates, taking on various different roles and functions, from speech writing to strategic planning. Having lived across the United States and Canada he has seen and experienced the variety of life as it is lived from place to place, coming to learn of and embrace the diversity that dwells amidst our society. He brings all of this to his writing in order to create a powerful atmosphere that takes the reader from wherever they are and casts them into the pages of the book and the lives of the characters. Educated in Theology and History Wyatt also offers critical historical analysis and writes candidly on religious subjects through his devotions. Its his belief that it offers perspective and understanding that helps to enrich his life and his work, finding purpose and meaning around him. In his free time Wyatt enjoys woodcarving and classic movies, remaining an avid enthusiast of the works of James Stewart. His passions include Chicago Cubs baseball and Green Bay Packers Football. Sometimes dark and mournful, other times full of hope and compassion, a collection of Wyatts short stories, entitled Moments in Time, can be found, as read by the author, through his website, Currently residing between Halifax, Nova Scotia and Chicago he is currently working on a wide variety of different projects.
