I can't help it..

I can't help it..

A Poem by Sweet_pale_cacophony

Somedays..
I am just here..absolutely here.
I hang on to every word of yours..as a religious to religion.

But then..
On
Somedays..
Am just elsewhere..
                          In my mind.
Please do not judge me for it.
Do not take it to be rude.

I can't help it..as simply as it is.
I do not know the rules of this world.
Perhaps I am a simpleton.

Mind..
Takes on a spiral random route..
As a mound of wool..every strand running its own course.

Or
Maybe like a spilled coffee..droplets..
             astray..free.

Today I saw smoke rising from factory chimney
I wanted to be the smoke
                            diffuse free anonymous.

Featured Review

first stanza: unique. i love the word some, sometimes, somedays etc.
i lean toward being elsewhere. being here i was never very good at.
the '...rules of this world.' line is fantastic in its placement and power.
'spiral random route' is very relatable.
the coffee line is precious.
ending's fantastic.
