If OnlyA Poem by ~Mary Diamond~If only I could be like a bird and fly, I would be able to sail in the sky, Let all the stress go and say goodbye, If only I could be like a bird and fly.
If only I could be like a lake, There'd be so many paths I could take, There would be no heartache, If only I could be like a lake.
If only I could be like fire, Something people sit and admire, That brings passion and desire, If only I could be like fire.
If only I had no heart, I would've known from the start, You tore my world apart, If only I had no heart.
If only you could be me, Then you'd see how I see, And feel as I feel for thee, If only you could be me.
But I am only me, I'm not perfect can;t you see, Accept it and let it be, But I am only me. © 2010 ~Mary Diamond~Reviews
