Welcome Home

Welcome Home

A Poem by ♋ Iris ♋

Dark morning.
Dark day at school.
Dark skies.
Dark house.
Dark room.
Dark blade.
Dark red blood.
The feeling of being alone.
The aching in my chest.
The screams of anger from downstairs.
The holes in the wall from my fist.
The open window.
The dark sky stares at me.
Its mocking me.
"I thought you liked darkness."
It says.
The voice of the unseen says to me.
"My darkness. Not this painful kind."
I try to explain desperately.
"One cant be picky."
The voice laughs.
"I don't want to be here. I want to leave."
I cry out.
"Thats too bad. This is what you wanted. Welcome home..."

I really liked this, and I agree with Justin and Victoria.

I'm with Justin on this...it's sad, and I know what its like to feel at home in the dark but not want the kind of dark that's being forced on you...and to be in a house you don't wanna be in and wanting to leave...good write Jes. -hugs-
