A Poem by ♋ Iris ♋

I walk with my head held down.
I try and imagine that there is no one else around.
I don't walk fast and hope no one sees me.
Someone waves to get my attention from ahead by the far tree.

I smile at him because he is a guy I have befriended.
We tried out luck at love but it never started before it ended.
Thats fine, I get that it wasn't meant to be.
I'm just glad that he still talks to me.
He smiles back but keeps on walking.
It is our other friend as to which he is talking.
They have a thing now but they make a great couple.
If people said me and him look good, they look better by at least double.

I smile even after he turned away.
I know its better to be happy that they are happy and come what may.
I watch from the sidelines and thats where I will stay for a long time.
While everyone else is a divisible number, I am only prime.
So I will keep smiling.
No matter what is happening.
Friends are forever in my life and I love them dearly.
I hope I can express that clearly.

As long as my friends still talk to me, I am blessed.
Friends are all I need, so I will put my dating life to rest.

You know that the divisible and prime line just smacked me in the face repeatedly for not thinking of it first.Beautiful, bittersweet words.
