Background:

Shania grew up in a "military force" family. Her father and her brothers had brought her up to be strong and pretty much have no social life besides training. She's obviously a tomboy but she still has girlish qualities about her. 

She is the only girl in her special force team. They have nicknamed her "Boot" because the first day of training she had her own pair of boots from home. She often gets teased by the others but she normally tries to ignore them. She is a no non-sense girl when she feels strongly about a subject.
