Background:

Wile has crippling arthritis that causes him to not be able to leave the house often. Plus, his single mother has to work all of the time so she can provide for him and pay his medical bills. Because he cannot leave, he gets his education by having a buddy at school who will Skype call for every class.

Wile is really a sweet kid. He doesn't like to let his friends know that he is in pain when they come and visit him so he has learned to numb the feelings while they are there. On really good days, he can leave the house as long as his friends promise that they will stay with him.
