Background:

She was taken from her family as a baby and, in turn, sold to a scientist that ran experiments on her. His intentions were to give her wings by mixing her genes with a hawks.

She ended up getting talons instead and really good hearing. She became a failed experiment and was sold to the military where her hearing could be used in spying situations. 

Press is also always looking for a scoop. She would love to become a journalist if her life wasn't already planned out for her.
