The turbulence of life

The turbulence of life

A Poem by Elly Carpenter

forgotten memories are burdens  all of us carry,
flashbacks send our mind recoiling into our fears, joys, and strengths,
honor is a thing we learn after being criticized and ridiculed,
but what do we do with this knowledge?
forgive me but I cannot say for sure,
love can be passionate and desirable,
but it only takes a split second to watch your happiness slip through your fingers,
life is one big journey we all experience differently,
so live life to the fullest and always stand up when your fall to your knees,
enjoy the little things, cherish what you have,
cause only time can tell what will happen in the end.
