Chapter 1: Birth

A piercing shot of noise rung around the room.

There was a huge banquet for the ladies and gentlemen of Evergreen Woods where all the rich and famous celebrities, inventors, authors, or any kind of highly praised human being were attending. Evergreen was a high society where if you were not doing anything beneficial with your life you would be seen as the scum of the world. You are not a A list actor, you are nobody.

The party was located in the city square of town where everyone joined in and drank their cocktail, ate caviar, and acted bigger than they really were. Dr. Sphere  was different. He became a national known doctor who was very famous for his work. The man developed cures to diseases and treating patients. But there was something about his past that haunted him.

"Hello Dr. Sphere. Welcome to the dinner." Greeted Mrs. Stephanie.

A welcome that was surely fake. The doctor soon took his seat and nibbled on a piece of bread from the plates for the guests.

"Hello doctor, we need to tal-" The lights suddenly went out.

Screams from preppy girls shot out to mix the room that was soon becoming chaotic.

Mrs. Stephanie calmed the situation, "Everyone relax. It is just power. Please exit the building."

The lights for the exit blinked on. Dr. Sphere got up and began to walk to the bathroom. He had to get something before he left the dinner. He slammed the door open and looked below the faucets, near the toilets, inside small compartments; there was nothing. The doctor went out to the main hall and unknowingly found his little daughter.

"Honey, what are you doing here! It is not safe." The father said worried. He picked her up into his arms and put her into a taxi cab.

"23rd and Broadway," he turned to his daughter, "everything will be all right. I promise."

He shut the door and went back inside.

Then it came.

Death. Death is no kids playground, it is the devil's playground. The details were fuzzy and no one knew what happened that night. All the police could say that there was a pool of blood on the floor and a paper brown bag. Creepy yet mysterious, the event was a mark in Alice's life history to be remembered.

A ten year old girl ran out the taxi cab at the destination looking for her father, but he was nowhere to be found. She grew worried and began to shed tears. The girl was named Alice and now she was slowly dying from the inside.

It has been four years since the incident when Alice lost her father. Day by day, she felt like her life was slipping away and finally she could not handle it anymore. The lost teenager broke down crying her eyes out and had to go to a psychiatrist for help. She was in bad shape and there was no one there to help her except herself. Her mother passed away before her father did, so Alice was now an orphan living with a foster family. She felt very out of place and the only parent figure she had was gone in her life. What is the point of living if everything you had was gone in an instant?

Alice drove up into the driveway of her new foster family in a red beat up truck with accident marks all over the bumper. It was no fancy car or luxurious European leather vehicle, it was plainly Alice’s car. She ringed the doorbell and after a few moments a women about thirty-four years old with gray hair and dark brown eyes grunted as she quickly and violently opened the door. “Great, another teenager. Come in I guess,” complained the host. Alice entered the house and her feet stepped into fine hard wood floor. It was a mansion with beautiful artwork everywhere. It was nothing like the orphan’s real family home.

The women announced, “I am Silvia by the way.”

“Hello, I’m Alice, nice to meet you!” Alice said cheerfully holding out her hand trying to make her dark purple eyes shine in the sunlight. Trying to give some warm feeling to the women. Silvia did not shake but just stare in horror and disgust.

“Just Follow me..” Silvia complained.
