Separation

How much will it take before a friendship ends?

I have a friend
Who used to care
No secrets between us
The secrets we shared

Through our happiness
And our sorrow
We were sure
We'd see our ways tomorrow

Separate by hand
But mended by heart
I never thought
We'd grow apart

Unkind words
Spoken like ice
Fall from our lips
Not once, but twice

All because
My friend did not care
For the advice I gave
For the thoughts he wanted me to share

My heart aches
As I walk away
But I'm tired
Of being treated this way

I know this isn't
The best thing to do
But I'm afraid our friendship
Is no longer true

My heart is no longer
Going to be trodden on
So take it, or leave it
Because I'm already gone

Adios, my friend
It's time to part
To make our one
Into two hearts

No, plenty of feeling, not vague at all. Its very direct and its good to see you capitalizing on your own assertiveness as an individual! This is the type of writing more people should write! People need to care for number one first, particularly when other people are just taking advantage. Good write!

I think this is a perfect example of how the things you dont write are just
as important as the things you do write. I loved the lack of details. Not knowing what happened, but seeing the affects of it all makes it universal. We haven't all had the same exact situation, but you have stirred up emotions in us all who remember what this poem is a testament to. Great work!

I love it! I can relate so well to it but that may be because we are twins and feel and go through the same things. Freaky! haha but I think that if there were a way to incorperate more feeling it would make the poem even better but I like it just the way it is :D
