Standing still

Standing still

A Poem by Dark Angel

Standing still
In the bramble
I listen closely
To the river ramble

Standing still
Knee deep in
I feel the kiss
Of the wind upon my skin

Standing still
Closely surrounded
I saw the bird
As he gently landed

Standing still
Among the trees
I smell the fruit flowers
The bee conceives

Standing still
In eternal silence
I have tasted
The fruits final essence

Standing still
Forever satisfied
I smile to myself
As I experience the seaside

Yes no better place to be. I was station at Fort Ord, Ca. for three years. Every chance I got. I got up early in the morning to see the beginning of a new day. A beautiful poem. You took me to the sea. A outstanding poem. Thank you.
