Led By Example

All the things in my room minus a few

Scattered over the floor

Are a great many things

From pink and blue yarn

To my fav'rite drawings

 

Pencils and Pens

And markers galore

A journal and books

All strewn on the floor

 

A cushiony chair

At the foot of my bed

Rocks back and forth

On carpet that is red

 

A guitar and its case

Lay across my pillow

With tuner, picks and kapo

All resting below

 

Unopened puzzles

And CD's that I own

Cover the box pedistal

That my stereo's out grown

 

Sewing thread and needles

On white and black fabric

Haven't harmed me yet

It's really quite magic

 

To clean my room

Would be a nightmare

For I never know

What I'll find in there

 

But father like daughter

My room's really clean

Compare his to mine---

It's the dirtiest I've ever seen!

I don't do that who's higher on the chain you must follow crap. I make my own rules and the only one's I'll listen to is my mother and other adults whom I have a found respect for. Nice job I like this a lot!

I got lots pf imagery in this. You are very creative and if the room was made from the top of your head. Your imagination is expressed so clear and amazingly. This poem impressed me with every stanza being four lines thats clever and it makes it easy for the reader to read it. I like the bit of humour at the end the father's room is even more of a mess
