a million dimes

a story in sonnet form

I cannot begin to describe,

this terrible story with my rhymes,

about a man paid with a bribe,

 to kill another for a million dimes,

 

it began with a man come home,

and found it without his loving bride,

cold and lifeless she lay alone,

with a dagger in her side,

 

he finally found him with great strife,

and paid a man without a laugh,

to send the maker with a knife,

the man who stole his better half,

 

love and revenge finally bred,

a mask of peace in an alley, blood stained red,

I wrote this on for an english assignment and the teacher got all philosophical on me.

I would do a spellcheck and possibly separate your last stanza so that it is consistent with the rest of the poem. Otherwise, an excellent piece.
