Falling for That DreamA Poem by Julie MorganI can’t believe I fell for that Falling for my stupid little dream. But your face was in perfect detail And your voice spoke straight to me. My eye’s widened like the moon And my heart’s beat picked up speed. I wish I hadn’t fallen for that Believing in my mind’s games. But I had felt every crack in your hands And every scar remained unchanged. I guess I’ve wanted this for so long That my mind fell for this cliché. I wish I saw that coming And knew I’d wake to see the clouds. But I turned away from your smiling face And turned back to see you vanish from the crowd. My eyes had opened to see my ceiling And I was left alone again in my darkest hour.© 2012 Julie MorganAuthor's Note
