When Night Isn't LonelyA Poem by Julie MorganA very quickly done freewrite.I love the feeling of your company at night because the darkness is filled with my smile that beams at the thought of you. The more tired I get, I try harder to stay up, and I love when you're tired because we cross the lines we wouldn't cross if we were wide awake. I never want to say goodnight, so I hold my head up and wait until you cannot take the exhaustion anymore and you tell me it's time to sleep and you leave. Then, I'll lay alone in the dark and rest a hand on my chest and feel my heart rate as I think of our conversations and I swear I even smile in my sleep.
