Stay Far Away From Me

Stay Far Away From Me

A Poem by Julie Morgan
"

A vinelle I wrote for school

"

The weather outside is far too gloomy,

I will not deal with you; not today,

Just please stay far away from me.

Does it kill you to ask me nicely?

Your rude orders I won’t obey.

The weather outside is far too gloomy.

No matter what, you won’t say sorry,

But sorry’s a word I never wish to say,

Just please stay far away from me.

Dealing with you has never been easy,

But it’s never been harder than on this day,

The weather outside is far too gloomy.

No matter what, I’d never flee,

Despite the  times I wished myself away,

Just please stay far away from me.

There’s one thing, which we’ll both agree,

You’re the predator, and I’m the prey.

The weather outside is far too gloomy,

Just please stay far away from me.

This is great ! I like the use of the repetitive phrasing. It is very appropriate for this piece and subject matter. You convey the feeling of not wanting to deal with a matter, let alone when you are feeling down. Very effective writing. I like it very much. Thank you for sharing this with the reader.
