The depressing thoughts I get when I decide to not start conversations with anyone for a period of time, and it turns out nobody wants to talk to me.

Everything still

Everything silent

Everything still

But then you see me

 

Checking my phone

Checking Facebook

Checking my phone

But I’m still alone

 

Falling asleep

Falling in deep thoughts

Falling asleep

But somehow still awake

 

Have they thought of me?

Have I crossed their minds?

Have they thought of me?

But I know they haven’t.

Julie, of all your work, I like this best. It bears that sad sensitivity of someone who feels out of place with themselves and the pain oozes through the words. It's a very nice work and I send my kudo.
