Skin and BonesA Poem by Julie MorganSkin
and bone With
arms like twigs Ribs
like gills Yet
I’m ‘so fit’. Compliments
flying All
my way Confessions
that they Are
jealous of me. They
don’t understand That
it’s not pretty To
be so under weight That
your eyes get heavy. Your
arms get weak Don’t
want to speak Because
you’re so stressed That
you just can’t eat. ‘You’re
so skinny!’ Will
never satisfy me Because
in my eyes 92 pounds will always
be ugly.
