we feel we write...and we try to take a bite out of the past so it won't control us...if we can seal the open wounds, we can move on and make the present what we decide it to be.

Ah, Yann, this is truly brilliant! the last four lines sing out the heartfelt cry of the writer's soul. You seem to be able to capture such emotion in a bold way... I really loved this.
