How it Goes..

How it Goes..

A Poem by Zzero
"

A teenage boy is diagnosed with cancer. His bestfriend is with him the entire way, all the way.

"

The snow falls.

The ground is icy.

He loves her,

But he is dying.

The cancer -

It’s taking over his body.

He watches her,

As she’s crying.

She doesn’t want him to go,

She needs him to stay.

But just as the snow,

He’s melting away.

She needs him here,

Yet it can’t wait.

He cries aloud.

His soul, it shouts.

Save me! Save me!

No one is there.

It wasn’t a dream.

It’s a real nightmare.

He wishes she were okay,

He wishes he could tell her

It’ll be alright.

He wishes he could be her hero.

That he could save the day.

She kneels beside him,

On his deathbed, he lay.

“I love you,”

She said,

“ & You don’t need to stay.”

A sad poem written. When death is near. Love and kindness is needed. I liked the flow of thoughts leading to solid ending. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
