The One Eyed Monk

The One Eyed Monk

A Poem by Z

the one eyed monk came to me

and asked me what i see,

a cowboy with his mind in sand,

i smiled, he said he understands.

he then said what have you done for jesus

i said what has he done for us,

his blood stained the spears he moaned

i cried that i'm free of fear.

he then asked of my sins

and i told him of my dreams,

where the flood of truth trickles through

the seams of my mind,

and my faith is seen in moral boats

with a man i'll never find.

the one eyed monk then threatens me

with one thousand greedy kings,

and a wave of holy flings

where angels do not but cry.

and my faith is seen in moral boats

with a man i'll never find

I walk where angels never lie

I wept and went my way.
