My Home (Terza Rima)

My Home (Terza Rima)

A Poem by Z
"

This is a Terza Rima poem I had to write for poetry class, not really my style and I am really not happy with it, but I suppose it will do...

"

At the end of the hall I see a boy weep
tears that smile and tell me all is well
That hers is his and forever to keep

The edge of the stairs a woman tells
Of a man on a beach who carries her
In a pendant made of seashells

I reach the door and I see a man so unsure
When he will ever see her again
I tell him to stay the course, his heart is pure

Outside I reach a girl laying down in the plains
She tells me she once loved me
But our paths have come to an end

Most of the doors are locked in my home
For the crops of my past have already been sewn
