It doesn't matter if you've forgotten her or not

It doesn't matter if you've forgotten her or not

A Poem by zoophagous

She is dead

and has been

for years.

There are

no pictures

of her in

your house

any longer.

But I can

see

her

decomposing

in everything

she did

and

taught you

under

your flesh.

The reincarnation

of the soulless

The fertilization

of human presence

The presence of absence.

This is almost a poem about being possessed by a zombie. Surely, some lives are inhabited by death.
