WordsA Story by zohea drabble, a short story of a hundred words
Words are strange. The same exact words that brought us together tore us apart. Nothing changed, yet it seems, with the passing of time…nothing stayed the same.
‘Stop dreaming!’ You had hurled those words at me. Loud and shattering, totally unexpected. It brought redness to my cheeks and our eyes met for the first time. ‘Stop dreaming.’ You had said, later on. Solemn and somewhat sad, your short words were painful but true, as we both stumbled upon the limits of reality and fiction. ‘Stop dreaming…’ My words dragged out, just like the way they dragged out your lifeless body. - 100 words © 2016 zohe |
