Believe

Believe

A Poem by zogzog

I used to believe

You could feel me a million miles away.

You know me,

It’s so easy to touch you.

I know you.

I know when you’re in danger.

I hold you

When you’re down.

You used to believe

I could be nothing more than trouble.

I know you,

It’s so easy to cry when you’re left alone.

Thrown down like a bad bone

Just to levitate

Like a magic stone.

Hold me,

The rain has not stopped for days inside of me.

We used to believe

In something less then what we believe now.

We know each other well enough

To know when life gets tough

We have each other,

Because we believe

The sun will shine again…someday.

Losing myself

Was all I wanted to do.

Losing myself

Was all I could never do.

Abusing myself

Seemed to be the only answer.

Now I see

The help of a million eyes

Weeping by the same holy well.

As we all sing

That holy song now

We can watch the waters rise

And dissipate the spell.
