Bestfriend

Bestfriend

A Poem by Zoe Taschereau
"

wrote this about my ex best friend who fell for me

"

Words can’t describe how she makes you feel,

Her touch is a dream that is too surreal.

You see her love him, you feel like a fool,

to fall for a girl, because you think she is “cool”.

You love her passion, you think she is art,

But deep down you know, she’s more toxic than a dart.

You paint her at night, you tell her how you feel,

You say he’s not right for her, you two could be real.

You tell your girl, she is just a friend,

But deep down you know you want it to end.

Her heart is pure gold, but don’t burn her you’ll see,

That you’ll eventually hate your own masterpiece .

It’s been two days now, that you two haven’t spoken,

It’s killing you now, and her heart is still broken.

She is sorry I swear, but she will never admit,
that maybe for one moment, she didn’t want you to give up,

She didn’t want you to quit.
