After Is All That I HaveA Poem by zoehambridgeAnd you can smudge my lipstick And compensate for my smudged mascara. You kisses may compensate the tears. They can drown me after. We can both pretend, If that's what you're after. Whisper 'I love you' And feel all alone after. And the shouting can be drowned by laughter. But the foundations of this utopia are a lie. Which dosen't make this utopia, perfect at all, So the title in itself is in fact a lie, Because there is no after if there is no end, No end if there is no begining. The foundations are a lie, So drown me in your judgment, And I'll drown you in my love, And we can drown together, Because that's all we have, All that we're missing Eachother. My utopia, my imaginary utopia, Your dystopia. Is all that I have. © 2012 zoehambridge |
