This Crazy Place

This Crazy Place

A Poem by Zoe Leah
"

I just thought: What if the moment right before we die we see what the meaning of life is. But the world has set us up so precise that we are unable to tell anyone else?

"

Imagine it
Just before our very soul rises
We figure it out

We understand

Life and the human existence!

Behold!

The Universe has coordinated their death

And each of our deaths

Directly after this epiphany

The curtains close

And we are left

In complete darkness

They inhale their last
Breath
And it flashes
Before them
Behold!
The true essence of life

If only they could
Tell someone
Before...

It's too late

And their breath has vanished
So there is no one to tell
And the experience
Is desolate

It creeps up to those
Some suddenly
Some expected
Some with the very desire

Blinds them!
Perhaps
It is the seeing
Of the spirit
That takes our breath away

Or simply
Perhaps
It is actually our time
To drop off the face of this
Earth

This crazy Earth
It keeps secrets
And it whispers to us
Although the timing is not suffice
That is what makes it so
Real
