The Black Widow

You charm men so well,

sly, sneaky, unknowingly too.

You rope them in,

then make them a fool.

I try to learn

but I don’t have what it takes

Cos’ I’ll feel guilty,

when calm daybreaks.

You make them feel better

draw closer to you,

at the end of the day

The men shy away,

Finally rejected by you.

Like a maneater,

You black widow spider,

You finish off their remains.

I’ll pity you then,

My minuscule friend,

because when the love of my life

sweeps me off my feet

You’ll be there crying

for you’ll have nothing to keep,

None of your heart will remain,

For it all got stolen away

by the men who came near

and to whom you gave it away.

So when he finally comes

and see your face,

Prince Charming will then turn you away.

Rejected and broken,

That’s how it’ll be,

Because Prince Charming will come after me.

Full and whole,

Pure and meek,

That is one who Prince Charming seeks.

I’ll be laughing,

At the end of the day,

because I didn’t give myself all away.

The evil black widow serves her sickly purpose;
reminds men heartbreaking is a two-way street.
Don't turn your back or get to close to her;
cause those sly women are very hard to be beat.

Comprised of poison but a truly higher message;
lust can kill in so many more ways than just one.
These venomous beasts sadly keep a balance;
someone did something to them to make them undone.

You'll be the healer for him of such a tragedy;
but as a survivor he'll take so much more care.
The luckiest you'll be once he heals sweetly;
he'll have more wisdom and be much better aware.

No one is completely broken from love or rejection;
only if they focus on the negative affects from that past.
Help that man readjust and if he has a positive attitude;
you might have a great admiring love that is built to last.

I wrote this because I have seen many hurt and broken men.. usually over money and loss of a house or wife.. if they can see that the one they held was only out for that he will know he was better off loosing her.. for no amount of money will buy love.. and a woman like that would stand in the way of finding the real thing! Great writing.. full of suspense.. if you have a man shattered it does not mean he is broken.. he just might need more time and TLC.. and the woman to truly admire his great qualities and lift him will be the real winner (or princess if you prefer) in the end! I don't really believe in Prince Charming or such.. I believe love is a two-way street and so are breakups! Beautiful outcry for what many men feel though when they lose a relationship.. just like many women who come across casanova players! Why do people play with love??? Great job here!
