The Black Widow SpiderA Poem by zoEstrrThe Black Widow You charm men so well, sly, sneaky, unknowingly too. You rope them in, then make them a fool. I try to learn but I don’t have what it takes Cos’ I’ll feel guilty, when calm daybreaks. You make them feel better draw closer to you, at the end of the day The men shy away, Finally rejected by you. Like a maneater, You black widow spider, You finish off their remains. I’ll pity you then, My minuscule friend, because when the love of my life sweeps me off my feet You’ll be there crying for you’ll have nothing to keep, None of your heart will remain, For it all got stolen away by the men who came near and to whom you gave it away. So when he finally comes and see your face, Prince Charming will then turn you away. Rejected and broken, That’s how it’ll be, Because Prince Charming will come after me. Full and whole, Pure and meek, That is one who Prince Charming seeks. I’ll be laughing, At the end of the day, because I didn’t give myself all away.
