Cold Heart StealerA Poem by zoEstrrSo you come along, late at night, Stealing a maiden's fair kiss. A breath taken, a heart disappears, almost barely but sorely missed. She wakes up, feeling something amiss, Frowning, she starts to think. A secret here, coded message there, an empty wine bottle with nothing to drink. A clue, a key, a mystery, When the night's rendezvous came back to mind, She started to wail, weep and cry. Knowing another cycle has begun, Of chasing her heart in the long run. To all you men you stole our hearts, Please give it back, we need a fresh start. We know you're captivating, charming, it's true, but clumsy and wicked are a few of you too. Our hearts are fragile, handle with care. Or face our wrath when we despair.
