The Man

The Man

A Poem by zoEstrr
"

Think of it as rape, murder or whatever crime you can imagine.

"
A flutter of a heartbeat,
a breath stolen in the night,
the man takes it all,
he watches as she falls.

A love letter,
a fallen star,
he recalls the rendezvous.

Slowly, but surely,
he crept up behind.
The maiden hid nothing,
his plan in place,
she never got to see his face.

He runs away,
smiling to himself.
Before he knew it,
his life ended as well.

A sad story. You wasted no words. Description brought the reader in. I like the ending. Some karma in your words. A excellent poem.
