Chapter One: Button is Straight as a Line

   Ms. Carleta J. Andrews, looked anything but cute as a button now, oh sure, maybe a little bit cute, just... not so little anymore. Or button-like. Her hair grew into a shiny, roiling,orange river, and hung to her waist, and she usually had it in a fishtail braid. Her eyes were still hazel, and her cheeks were still rosy, but a little more sharp. She had grown into a tall beautiful woman, that she is today, and was very elegant. Most likely to be seen in her woven green beanie hat, pea jacket, and brown leather boots. She also wore a lot more lace then necessary, especially in her skirts, which were considerably short, in a flirty way. Oh, she had plenty of offers from all types of men, and even a woman, which she declined (I mean all of them, and shes straight as a line).

She liked to call herself Acorn (She certainly looks like that), and talked to animals at the zoo, her favorites being, a macaw named Mango, a tiger named Rufle, and a spider monkey named Chinga.

Today she was at the zoo, brandishing her winning smile. The children all loved her, because she would tell them animal stories next to the fountain depicting a man from the twenties holding a toad in the children’s zoo. “Hello associates!” She cooed, and fluttered her fingers. “It’s so nice to see you this fine warm day...now what month are we in again?” She fluttered her eyelashes, trying to appear confused. The children laughed. “It’s April, Acorn!”She sighed. “Oh, well thank you all for reminding me!” She laughed prettily along with them.
