a pictures worth a thousand words

room full of photos
coating the walls
memory upon memory
i couldn't save them all
black and white
full of color
areas of grey and yellow tint
years of arranging
days of changing
one fades and gets replaced

tear splatter, hearts shattered
burned edges, coffee stains
but yet the memory of you remains
clear within my head
like a camera with full clarity
no flash
but yet red eyes
i remember the tears i cried
the words you spoke
the things i wish i could have said
but i nearly choked
holding back sobs
as you said goodbye
but here you are still in my life

i turn the page, try to leave the room
but there you are
