the days pass by, as do the years
pass by like a train on a track heading just out the city somewhere to you

the trees go floating by but only one blossoming flower catches your eye
the shades of pink and purple seem to mesmerize not just your mind but your body as well
there seems to be a few daisies in your life
you bend down take in their essence, smile and walk away
it's the orchid you remember day to day

with shining beauty, not a wilt within her complexion
not a flaw in her color
the green of her eyes shines brighter than envy
her always changing colors make her as fascinating as a lightning bug in the October sky

her sweet scent lingers on your everyday decisions
her smile seems to captivate all of your dreams
from the deep glow of moonlight to the sparkle of the sun
with each passing decision you seem to know she is the one

farther away you drift a bee trying to stay in tune with the seasons
flowers come and go
with colors from peaches to iridescent golds
scents from the lightness of lavender to the deep enveloping smell of the lilly
but even with senses gone wild, and nectur in the air
its the sunshine you find in the orchid's hair
shiny and smooth curls that tickle the pads of your fingers as you try to grasp reality
