If I said I love you…

The stars would fall from the evening sky

The trees would light up in the dead of night

Like torches drenched in gasoline

The world in flames the darkness unseen

 

If I said I love you…

The oceans would run dry

Dust in the wind

Hope far from sight

Slowly wilting away

Never again to see another day

 

If I said Iove you,

My world end, id watch you walk away, a long lost friend

If I said I love you,

Id have nothing to hold onto

My reason, my rhyme, the reason the stars shine

If I said I love you, it wouldn’t make you stay, it’d just hurt more to watch you go away

A poem with a lot of emotion that is hard to hold in. Love allow us to celebrate and also make us cry for the things we can't have. A very sad poem. Hard to hide the emotion of love. A excellent poem.
