so close yet so far away

days go by

thoughts spark, emotions fly

the answer unseen within your eyes

hope remains in the light haze

as the sun rises and another day begins

butterflies dance, a mawking trance

the sun reaches the slim blades of grass

warming them, enlightening them to the fullest extent

i lay back, look at the clouds and sigh

another day in anothers life

so close to me, yet so far away i can not reach

my tears, my darkness, my sleepless sleep

so close yet so far away

perhaps ill find myself another day, another way

maybe when the skies are grey the grass is dark green

and only dim yellow is what i see
