lillys

a poem for Isaac.

the sun beats down on the green, green grass

the sweet scent of lillys fills the air

under the canopy of the willow tree you sit holding me

the breeze brings a light chill

your love warms me

i look into your eyes and the days weve spent just like this..

flash before my eyes

you hold me close and a as the wind moves the grass a smile sweeps across my face

forever i wish to be in your embrace

seasons change the lillys wilt away

the petals fall elegantly like tear drops

rain pours outside the window

lillys gone until the sun beats again

the stars fill the empty sky, the trees so bare

the crickets humb their soothing song

i dream of the days the lillys werent gone

the perfumed scent

your hand caressing my face

the sweet gentle kisses of summer time

the sweet green of your eyes

your strong embrace holding my heart in place

for around you my heart leaps

butterflies sway in and out of my dreams until i wake

in a summers eve

i run to the trees ans smell the beautiful lillys

oh summer days come back to me
