haunting

A Poem by ZmH

the halls echo with the words you once spoke

the piano plays your voice note for note

the trees dance to the rythm of your once beating heart

the water drops like the tears i faught

silence once vacated my soul

but now its you thats taken hold

your embrace haunts my lonely days

as i look in the mirror at my eyes so grey

your words taunt every thought

my anger at myself never stops

who i was, a wisper in the wind

the silent creak of a floor board

the steady rain on the tin roof

was all because of you

now i sit alone looking at skies so blue

the wind blows in from the window your scent fills the air

the sun lights up the days like your smile

and curled hair

the clouds form like the space between us once had

and now you are gone

no longer can i grasp

the green of your eyes as green as the grass

Oh my god.. It scared me! (That is a good thing lol) IT has a nice eerie feel to it and it is an amazing poem. It has great flow and out of his world word choice. Again amazing job!
