into the sunset

love like a tidal wave

slowly creeps to the shore,

 then fades away

into the deep blue grey

as it flows it stumbles

upon rocks and the ocean floor

never reaching the island of forever more

it slowly erodes away your foundation

your heart breaks,

leaving you with sand

tears pool like rifts pull

strong at first but always let go

the heated sand turns to glass

from the lightning of your fearful storm
