the wheel of fortune turns

and life grows dark

yet still shines his heart

life took a toll on who he is

but yet his little girl still makes him grin

her small face and little embrace

soon to be taken away

to darken every day

tears he pours like a waterfall

he fell upon his decision no longer standing tall

for what he loves and what she needs

he shall alter her destiny

no matter how many felonies

good heart, good intentions

not such a great recongintion

for he has failed his mission

behind cold bars he shall stay

as he watches his sunshine fade away

until another mistake...
