loves shadow

a light gray

embracing the light of the day

the suns sweet kiss scolds

leaving yet another sore

heart aches closing yet another door

tears swell only to sharpen the sensation

of loves overcast shadow,

and guilty temptation

nerves spark

and like a battle field..

your life explodes in smoke

your words leave you to choke

numbness settles in

the suns cycle begins again

loves shadow circles

from friend to lover, lover to friend

then it circles back again
