lifes storybook

lifes storybook

A Poem by ZmH

rainbows, sun filled skies

a storybook filling life

with hope, and dreams

candy coating the wildest of things

death becomes happily ever after

and once upon a time becomes lifes disasters

years are days

weeks even longer

a storybook leaves those who believe to ponder

you have a snake of a friend

spider of a lover

and your the fly

caught within a web of lies

your exiled to happyness

or should i say an empty minded state

every breath you intake

is sweet, but filled with sorrow

in a storybook there really isnt a tomorrow

just a yesterday

happyness fades, the lies stay

your storybook is your ideal place

but word to wise

theres a dark side to every story

I like this poem a lot. You brought me in and gave me a surprise ending. Some story books can't be understood till we read the whole book. A excellent poem.
