autumn day

autumn day

A Poem by ZmH

upon a sea of leaves i lay

watching the passing of autumn day

the sky turns vibrant colors

burgundy, red, orange and yellow

leaves fly in the wind blending in

a spiral of colors that slowly drifts into the night

until next days morning light

the trees shake

some people bother to rake

away a sea of color,

a day like no other

dry air,

compressed leaves within your hair

upon a sea of leaves i lay

enjoying another autumn day

really vivid description and beautiful atmosphere. even though in a tropical country i experience no autumn seasons, this poem is the closest i can get to that, i must say. great
