the steady beat within his chest

the words he speaks,

so sweet, makes me lose my breath

his smile so bright,

his face filled with an unknown light

his eyes so green, soft, and gentle

the notes of my lullaby

thoughts so unclear to me

tears unknown, and unseen

the sound of his voice the chorus

the sweetness of his kiss the harmony

together a symphony

my love for him,

my lullaby

words that could make only me cry

he holds me close,

 my head fills with notes

i close my eyes

the future flashes before my eyes
