Alien

I feel this darkness deep inside me
it builds in my chest
piece by piece it takes over me
foreign at its best
slowly the color fades
from my life and from my face
personalities change
and persons are erased
from smiles lapsed with darkness
laughs amplified by evil
eyes that twinkle with sadness
but you see as real
happiness shaded from the inside out
yellow sunrise lapsed by orange and taken out
bruises deep purple that can only be seen from the inside
cuts and scrapes that will never heal
but we always hide
they say the knife cuts the deepest
but the deepest is unseen
it starts from words,actions, and it takes over me
its like a pull at your heart
it strums the strings slowly,
 in melancholy beat
the song hits my ear drums
it courses through my veins
what you see is what you get, but I will never be the same
