Eos' Dance

Eos' Dance

A Poem by Céce

The cold pale beginning of morning,

Waiting in patience for Eos to dance,

To dance on her own night tears of dew

And open sky's gate for the day's advance.

Selene mourns the mortal Endymion

Cursing Zeus in her wailing of white:

     Apollo Helios draws chariot nigh,

Thundered by sol steeds, drawing the light.

Hera frees her peacocks into Eos' dawn,

     Eros gathers his lover's arrows:

     Gaia stretches her fingers abroad,

Athena opens her hand to the heros.

They awake and arise, one each to advance:

Another day begun with Eos' dance.

Such Greek pictures! I am sure you are a Greek poet! A classical author and a work that interests scholars but baffles the proles. Cece you are my Helen of Troy!

There is so much life in this poem. The imagery was breathtaking. The beginning of an eternal story. How magnificent.
