Eos' DanceA Poem by CéceThe cold pale beginning of morning, Waiting in patience for Eos to dance, To dance on her own night tears of dew And open sky's gate for the day's advance. Selene mourns the mortal Endymion Cursing Zeus in her wailing of white: Apollo Helios draws chariot nigh, Thundered by sol steeds, drawing the light. Hera frees her peacocks into Eos' dawn, Eros gathers his lover's arrows: Gaia stretches her fingers abroad, Athena opens her hand to the heros.
They awake and arise, one each to advance: Another day begun with Eos' dance. © 2010 CéceAuthor's Note
