A Story by Zippora

From a writing prompt I did a while a go.

Everyone's story is bitter sweet with sugar on top. Sad family, bad friends...or vice versa. A Love unrequited or returned changing our life in someway. It's the one thing that draws us together.

My story is long, complex, and unrelatable. There are many like me, with bad family situations and great friends. But their story is still different, for they do not see what the have in the same light that I do.

His story is unknown, for he never turn the page and continues on, but keeps adding one word. Sorry, sorry, sorry. As if hoping to change the words written and start again, but the fellow writer has moved on.

Your story is very different then mine. Filled with more love, less problems, easier everything! Yet you act as id it's so hard! You react in ways others are astounded I have not resorted to, but pretend no one can understand this pain. That pain is one I have felt much stronger and for much longer. Still you persist and try to make light of your "heavy woes" While I react as if they were the worst things ever and bottle me own emotion.

One person's story begins in tears, and another's begins with tears, but they are not the same beginning.

What happens when your friend is not able to help you, but need help themselves? What happens when the harsh reality of what's going on rushes all around you? What happens when a simple song bring up more emotion then anyone's words?

Do you curl up, introvert, and shut the world out? Or do you scream, cry, and fling your burden on the world, refusing to deal with them yourself if you must face it alone?

I say don't do either. Share your story with anyone who will listen, but do not fling it to those who will not care, making the reality harsher. Nor do you let it continue to destroy your life.

Break free. You can.
