So we are back to this?

So we are back to this?

A Poem by Zippora

So we are back to this

You push me away and I stay seated

Hoping one day you will realize I didn’t go home like you told me to

The rain starts

And falls

And falls

And falls

Falling and splattering

The pattern coming apart

All the particles separating

Breaking

Like my heart, like the plans, like my mind and I try to cover the rain falling down my face.

And you don’t look back, but shout more.

Go home

Go home

Leave me alone. I don’t want you anymore.

But….you came back. You didn’t go home. You took me away from my home and I followed you willing, but you forget one thing.

To show me the way back.

And while I sit here the rain falls

And falls

And falls

But I think now, after getting up and wandering for so long, I found a home.

It’s not my old one

But

I would rather face the new area

Then try and face the old memories

It doesn't really need tearing apart editing wise. It came out pretty good in my opinion. My only tip would be to edit some of the longer lines down a bit, but that is a simple fix. Overall, the poem was very sad, but very good. It was a damn good read.
